CNY @ SCC

It was Chinese New Year celebration at all iMAN centres last Friday.

We, at Simei Childcare were not deprived of the fun too! Many of us, including the teachers, came in red. Teacher Sham read us some slides on Chinese New Year. We have now a better idea of how Chinese New Year is celebrated and the common practices practiced during the celebration.

Teachers planned for us a total of five exciting games and all of us sure had fun. We had a lion dance, a 'Dress me up', a 'Search for the chocolates in the murky water', a 'Peel the peanuts' and 'Fix the orange puzzle' competitions... and the winners won themselves some interesting prizes.

Come! Let us take a look at the short video my teachers in school put up just for us!

Readers Theatre with the K1s @ SCC

Teacher Su and Teacher Sham said ten minutes of reading each day and we will be reading fluently pretty soon!

And this was just what we did in school...

Big or small @ SCC

It is Maths Concepts on Tuesdays.

Teacher taught us how to differentiate a small item from a big one. See us sorting the concrete objects to the correct descriptions! This is so fun!

Look at me now @ SCC!

Hello! Remember me? Teacher posted my picture sometime back.

When I was crying at one point time...

I am so much happy humming to a new tune, now. Well at least until I was caught off guard by Teacher Herma. HMPH!

And oh! Just in case if anyone attempts to decipher what I am humming to... it is 'Mr Golden Sun'!

We are special @ SCC!

The new theme, 'All about me!' was introduced this morning. We learnt many things about ourselves. We came to know about our favourite colours, our favourite food, our hobbies and why we are special.

Dearest teacher said that all of us are special in our own ways.

Dearest teacher also played a song that all of us love to sing over and over again. Let us sing along together mummies and daddies!

Sentence builder @ SCC

Dearest teacher says Sentence builder helps us to recognize words and re-arrange them into proper sentences. Dearest teacher also says Sentence builder helps us to recognize punctuation marks and pause at the correct punctuations while reading the sentences.

See us in action!

The happy faces of Dino and Pebbles @ SCC

Give the camera your best smiles sweetie pies! Say CHEESE!

Say hello and wave to the camera! 'H' for 'hello', the letter of the week!

Hmmm... why is that only Nurnazeerah is getting her milk? How about us teacher?

Hi! Can you see me? I am standing beside the girl who is biting her fingernails. Now do you see me? Hello! I am the only 'senior' in this group.

I may be the smallest in the playgroup class but I am sure smart and strong! My teacher says 'Eat more vegetables and you will be as strong as Aidil!' And that's me! HEE!

WOW! You are so good at thi$,s Maisarah! Your eye and hand are so well co-ordinated.

Erm... do I look OK teacher? Can I get to go home earlier with this sweet smile?

A favourite session amongst the toddlers and Playgroups. They simply love the oooeeeyyy goooeeeyyy dough!

Grip on to the crayons lil tots!

Down by the station, early in the morning. See the little puffer train all in a row...

Simei Childcare simply adores these smiling faces... the smiling faces of our future!

'WOW! Its newstime!' @ SCC

Hi! My name is Daniel. I am from the K2 class, Fred Flintstone.

I have always liked the 'WOW! It's newstime!' in school! Not only do I get to read the local news, I get to know what is happening in other countries too. Oh! Watch me become the newscaster and telling my classmates about Singapore Flyer!

'Wow! What's up?' @ SCC

Assalamualaikum.

My name is Abdul Rahman. I am from the K2 class. We made potato salad last week at the WOW! What's up? station. We made the potato salad with boiled potatoes, salt, raisins and mayonnaise.

First we mashed the boiled potatoes. Then we added some salt and mixed the potatoes with some mayonnaise. Lastly, we sprinkled some raisins! The potato salad tasted yummy! We learnt six target words too. They are mix, salt, stir, sprinkle, taste and salad. WOW!

SCC RAWKS on Wednesday

Happy parents going wild with the Chicken Dance... Reminiscing your childhood days parents?

Eastern Regional Manager Mdm Zabedah giving her point of view...

Attentive parents listening hard to the talk...

Look at the turn out! Parents on the left... parents on the right... parents in front... parents at the back too!

Resident Head Teacher Herma enthusiastically shared the new meals of the year!

Look at how supportive our parents were! They simply RAWK!

While one father tried very hard to hide himself from the camera, another gave his best smile!

Yippee! It is over. The orientation for the new students and parents are finally over and done with. The number of guests who attended the session was definitely beyond our expectation. We were very glad that many parents took the effort to attend the orientation.

The orientation was carried out by Eastern Regional Manager, Mdm Zabedah K Mohd, with the assistance of resident Head Teacher, Ms Herma and the other staff of SCC. Greatest appreciation going out to everyone who has made this event a very successful one, especially the teachers who has put in endless effort to set up the centre for the event.

The event ended later than it was supposed to. However, we sure had a RAWKing time @ SCC!

With this orientation, we sincerely hope to build a closer parent-teacher relationship, Insya Allah. Because a child'e education begins at home!

Below is also a video which was played during the orientation.

Hush! Hush darlings! Everything is gonna be alright @ SCC!

Erm teacher... where are my baba and mama?

You said five! It is already six! Where is my umi, teacher?

Ibu! Where are you Ibu? Take baby home!

Excuse me teacher... can you help me? Can you please call my mummy to fetch me home?

Kak... why does teacher insist of taking my picture even when I am wailing my heart out?

Hush hush sweeties! Mummies and daddies got to go to work OK?
